It starts with a ball of soft yarn
it starts with a hook
and a pattern
The yarn slides through my fingers
the hook wraps and pulls
and a ball rolls across the floor
It's about creating
it's about relaxation
and yarn
There's so many hooks
there's so many colours
and I can't choose
I kind of have a pattern going, but it's not really to with rhyme as it is to do with structure, but I'm sure that's obvious. Once again, I didn't really get at what I was trying to do, but I still kinda like it.
Cool! I've tried to learn crochet probably three times now, and I can't seem to get the hang of it. I guess I'll stick to knitting for now.
ReplyDeleteI think you're off to a pretty good start. As a knitter, I can relate to a lot of this (relaxing, ball of yarn rolling across the floor). The actions and physical details work well ( The yarn slides through my fingers / the hook wraps and pulls). Maybe you could try adding more to make it more personal? Like what does crocheting mean to you, or maybe there is a special reason why you decided to pick it up.
